Social event will take place on Thursday 12 May 2011.

17:00-23:40 Guided winery tour introducing vinification methods, visit of the gardens of Château Val Joanis in Pertuis and dinner on site.

Château Val Joanis is situated in the Luberon, in Provence, east of Avignon and north of Aix-en-Provence, on the site of an ancient Roman villa, some of the foundations of which are still visible in the lower part of the property. A 19th Century garden which integrates both the ornamental and the practical, providing self-sufficiency in fruit and vegetables in an attractive setting has been create in three carved terraces out of the slope and constructed in an area protected from the Mistral winds using stones salvaged from a roman pool. These gardens were elected French gardens of the year in 2008 and "Jardins Remarquables" by the French Ministry of Culture.
